PROJECT DESCRIPTION | |||||||
| CATS (Context And Travel Situations) is a government-funded project to produce an interactive media package to assist in developing and promoting travel opportunities for students who are deafblind and may have additional disabilities. Content includes a process of assessment, instruction, and modification of phases necessary to implement travel routes. Real-life examples will be provided.
Upon completion, the information will be available to anyone via the internet, print and videotape. However, the primary users will be educational teams charged with developing individualized education plans (IEP's) for students who are deafblind. The Project Cats website is designed to facilitate communication among participating states (Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, and Tennessee). It will remain online until the public "Travel Training" product site is fully operational. The project is administered through the Blumberg Center for Interdisciplinary Studies at Indiana State University, Terre Haute, Indiana. |
